Sinusitis

Sinus headaches and sinus-related symptoms can be uncomfortable and may interfere with daily activities. Many people experience pressure or discomfort around the eyes, cheeks, or forehead, often accompanied by congestion and a persistent feeling of heaviness.

If you are experiencing these symptoms, our team can help evaluate your condition and identify potential causes. From there, we can guide you through appropriate next steps and treatment options based on your individual needs.

Sinusitis refers to inflammation of the sinuses, which are air-filled spaces located within the facial bones. It can develop due to several factors such as infections, allergies, inflammation of the nasal lining, or structural issues that affect sinus drainage. When the sinuses become inflamed or blocked, normal drainage may be affected, which can lead to a range of symptoms.

Acute Sinusitis

Often short-term, commonly following a cold, and may last up to 10 days

Subacute Sinusitis

Symptoms may last several weeks before improving

Chronic Sinusitis

Symptoms persist for 12 weeks or longer

Recurrent Sinusitis

Multiple episodes of sinus infections within a year

  • Prescription or over-the-counter medications may help manage symptoms and address underlying causes.

  • In some cases, surgical treatment may be considered to improve sinus function and airflow.

  • A minimally invasive, in-office procedure that may help improve sinus drainage for certain patients. â€‹During the procedure, a small balloon is inserted into the nasal passage and gently inflated to open blocked sinus pathways and improve drainage.
